Windfall Industries Consumer Reward Programs
6 Pillars of Character Recognition Program
This program was adapted from a program developed and used in schools. We use it to reward good character and as an example to be emulated. The 6 Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, & Citizenship along with examples of each one are on posters displayed in our lunch area and are routine topics of Weekly Employee Meetings and discussion.
When staff members catch a consumer doing something that stands out as an example of one of the 6 pillars of character the consumer’s name and date of the act of character are written on a pillar card which is then presented to the person who puts it in the hopper. Each month at an employee meeting one card is drawn and that individual wins lunch at a local restaurant of his/her choice with a staff member of his/her choice paid by Windfall Industries.
