M.A.P.

Medina Assembly and PackagingM. A. P. (Medina Assembly & Packaging)

MAP was developed as a stepping-stone to help students and adult individuals with disabilities transition from the traditional county board facility or school to competitive employment. As a paid training site, individuals learn work ethic and proper social skills required for competitive employment. Services are available for up to eight hours per day.

Windfall started out as a provider of service to Medina County Board only. In four years time we are providing direct care services to both Medina and Summit County Boards and seven different school districts in two counties.

MAP floor staff is required to maintain registration with Ohio Department of DD as well as participate in training with Summit County Training Collaborative. Staff is well versed in training job readiness skills and is required to have a background check before entering our work force.

One of Windfall Industries M.A.P. programs is M.A.P.S.T.A.R.T.
Medina Assembly and Packing Student Transition to Advanced Realistic Training.

MAP-START is a transition program to  help students ages 18 – 22 to increase employment experience and job-related skills. Students will recieve instruction as directed by their Individualized Education Program in coordination with MAP-START employees and Work-Study/Job Training Coordinators for student’s home district.

This program is contracted through high schools in Medina County and is being extended into Summit County. The M.A.P.S.T.A.R.T. goals are to provide personal development and training through occupational and habilitation programs to students with disabilities in the 16-22 years age group. With these programs, our hope is to provide necessary training and services, teaching them skills so that they can accomplish life goals.

These students are not yet eligible for services of the County Board of DD.
With the M.A.P.S.T.A.R.T. program, our hope is to ease the transition from school to county board services or competitive employment.
