Transportation

In 2006, Windfall Industries purchased its first Ford E350 12 passenger van. At that point, the Transportation Department was created and we began providing transportation to individuals with disabilities from Medina County that attended our MAP program. We began adding vans, individuals and routes and in a matter of a few years we had 4 routes transporting individuals in 2 shifts to/from the MAP program.

In December of 2013 we began providing community employment transportation to individuals with disabilities in Medina County. This transportation provides individuals safe and reliable, door to door service from their homes to their employment within the community.

In October 2016, we provided transportation via our 11 Ford E350’s with our 12 trained drivers. Our vehicles are inspected by drivers on a daily basis, maintained by local certified mechanics and checked annually by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Our drivers are BCI/FBI background checked and drug screened prior to providing any services. They are trained in many areas, including defensive driving, winter driving skills, CPR, First Aid & non-violent crisis intervention.

Currently, in July of 2019, we have a fleet of 14 vans, comprised of both Ford E350’s and Chevy 3500’s, all 12 passenger vehicles. We employ 18 drivers that operate 9 routes transporting individuals to/from our Vocational and Adult Day programs at our MAP facility in Wadsworth and 4 routes that transport to/from Vocational Training programs in the community. Additionally, we have 2+ routes that provide community employment transportation to individuals so they can access their community jobs throughout Medina County. We provide transportation to 100+ individuals that reside in Medina, Wayne and Summit Counties. We pride ourselves in providing safe and reliable door to door service to our individuals.
